Through creativity, we build community and a sense of achievement

Safe spaces for creativity, hands-on learning and belonging

About Us

Saganettverk is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization that creates safe and inclusive spaces through creativity, hands-on learning and community. Our activities are for people who need an alternative social arena, regardless of age, background or previous experience.

We build on each person’s interests, strengths and ideas. Through crafts, redesign, technology, reuse, planting and gardening, participants can explore, learn and create at their own pace. Our goal is for them to experience a sense of achievement, develop their skills and have opportunities to share what they know with others.

Our work is rooted in lived experience of social exclusion, health challenges and the need for places where people are free to be themselves. We therefore create safe spaces with support, flexibility and opportunities to participate on individual terms. At Saganettverk, the person always comes before the activity.

At Saganettverk, it is not only about activities, but also about belonging, personal growth and new opportunities. We work to:

• create safe communities where people feel seen and heard
• build confidence and a sense of achievement through creativity and hands-on learning
• help people discover, develop and share their skills
• build bridges to further activities, education or employment
• promote sustainability through reuse and knowledge sharing

Our work includes mobile creative workshops, reuse of electronics and materials, planting and gardening projects, and support for people who want to develop their own creative or practical ideas. Our projects are shaped around the participants’ interests and needs – not the other way around.

Collaboration is an important part of how we work. We develop our activities together with local meeting places, volunteer organisations, professionals and businesses. By combining knowledge and resources, we can create activities that respond to real needs in the local community.

At Saganettverk, there is room for the whole person – their strengths, challenges, interests and potential. Some people want to learn, others want to contribute, and many do both.

What We Have Achieved

Since launching in spring 2026, Saganettverk has run mobile workshops, developed new projects and built partnerships in the local community. Our experience shows that accessible creative activities encourage participation, new relationships and a sense of achievement.

12 weeks
of mobile creative workshops during spring and summer 2026

5–8 regular participants
took part in our activities every week

More than 100 children
took part in our workshop during the Midtsommer community event

The Stories Behind the Numbers

We have seen children and young people return week after week, new friendships develop and participants teach others what they have learned. One nine-year-old, for example, took the initiative to teach a peer. Moments like these show how confidence, responsibility and a sense of achievement can grow through creative activities and community.
